Acupuncture the day of transfer has shown to increase the chances of success from anywhere between 30-60% depending on the study. Â Having acupuncture on location the day of transfer helps in many ways but most importantly by calming the patient, allowing for open reception of the embryo.
On the day of transfer, there are two acupuncture treatments you receive on site at your IVF clinic. Â Acupuncture is administered both 30 minutes prior and 30 minutes post transfer. Â The intention of the first treatment is to calm the patient, increase blood flow to the uterus and facilitate reception of the embryo. Â The second treatment is to reinforce relaxation and calm, to support a growing embryo and to energetically “hold” everything in place.
