Meet Dr. Marylynn Jones DACM, L.Ac
Marylynn Jones is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and a Licensed Acupuncturist. She is licensed in California and is seeking national certification as well. Her first career was in pharmaceutical research, and although she was successful at it, her heart never felt she was in the right place. Seeking a non-pharmacological approach to various injuries and conditions, she became fascinated and inspired by Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine, prompting a big leap out of her comfortable life in the corporate world, into one of inspiration. Since giving birth to her daughter, Marylynn has had a passion for advocating for women’s health, and specifically helping women in their fertility, pregnancy, and childbirth journeys. She is thrilled to bring Eastern Medicine methods to families looking for a holistic addition to their prenatal care provided by Western Medicine practitioners. In addition to this passion, she enjoys helping people resolve pain conditions, digestive issues, and mental/emotional challenges. She endeavors to help her patients regain physical and mental balance, and to know the innate healing power our bodies possess.
Marylynn is originally from the East Coast where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia. After a 16-year career in clinical research, she returned to school to obtain her Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTOM) and her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health and Science.
Outside of work you’ll find Marylynn spending time with her husband and hilarious, young daughter – whether it’s time at the park, a road trip to a new destination, or miniature golfing (a new hobby of the family). She enjoys trying out lots of different gluten-free recipes for baking muffins, cookies, cakes, etc., but leaves the cooking to her wonderful husband. For both her physical and mental health, Marylynn loves to do Orangetheory workouts, as well as home workouts on her bike or on the yoga mat.
